Halifax minus Holroyd were kept under tight control by a solid Haven performance. Finch fed to Calvert to open the scoring on the left wing for Haven. Rudd's kick bouncing off the post. When Varkulis was yellow carded for holding down Haven started to get more incisive and Broadbent drove through and Rudd converted. Finch then snatched an opportunist try and Rudd converted. Rob Jackson scored a first half try. Sice then scored his first of two tries against the visitors. This with a Rudd two points made the half -time score 22-0.  Howard Hill was on form keeping up the pressure as Haven dominated the second half with the Kells End support. A foul on Finch gained Haven another two points. Caution on penalties was the order of the day. The power duo of Edmondson and Big Ryan McDonald started battering down the Fax defenses. While McDonald just got a ticking off for being lippy with ref Halloran, Finch soon after was yellow carded for holding down. Soon after Haley scrabbled in a try after the last tackle for Halifax. Ball then scored for the visitors, converted by Govin. The forwards pressure from Haven then left Fax wrong footed as McAvoy came flying through to touch down. Soon after Sice cheekily leaned over after the put in to score his second. Gorski got the consolation last try for Fax.
