done Dick...
You will be remembered like your other infamous Scotsman /Yank, John Paul
Jones.
I
was at the shareholders' meeting to be talked down to by a man who knows
nothing about rugby and even less about manners and could not give anybody
a straight answer, l can see why the club has gone.
We
sat at a meeting for almost two hours to be told that 1992 wanted the
club to go into administration. Is this the group of men who got £1.6
million pounds of Sky money?
Where
did this money go? From my memory the last players the club signed for
money were Arnold Walker in 1979 and John Glover in 1981. The only ground
improvements being new dressing rooms built my BNFL and a grandstand by
mr.Keith Irving and Border Engineers. So once again well done Dick.

Well
what a disaster 2010 has been for the faithful. Gates are tumbling as
l predicted but it's no good closing the gates now as the crowd has bolted.
So where do we go from here.? Well a blind man on a galloping horse could
get this problem sorted. So come on Mr. Razz and Co. let's get some Directing
done. No one wants a drop in wages but sometimes needs are a must, but
this cannot be the only reason players have taken their ball home. Many
years ago a gentleman who is still associated with Haven told me at this
level of semi-pro sport man management is the key to sucess. All the supporters
hear is of the coach falling out and chasing players who could still do
a job for the team. In all my time of supporting Haven for 50 years l
have never know us being beaten at home twice by as many points. Someone
has got to take the bull my the horns and sack the coach and his hangers
on. So as we tumble into division 3 come on Mr Razz get the P 45 out.
Just for the historian the only success that Haven and Town have had was
with player coaches. Of course Town did win the Western Division Champship
in 1962 and Lancshire Cup in 1977 but never recaptured the winning ways
of the Risman era. Haven's great moments being in 1957 at Osdall with
a non-playing coach and in 1960 finishing 6th in the Rugby Football League
and going into the 3rd round of the cup to be beaten by the winners. Of
course Haven topped the Rugby Football League in September 1969. There
is a hint for you Mr Razz, and if you want more proof look at the good
job Mr.Marsh has done at Hunslet. Your colonials from over the pond are
good at looking at history and you people at the top should now. It takes
a big man to say he was wrong so before it is too late do the right thing
for WHITEHAVEN RUGBY LEAGUE CLUB .
