Team keep Dons Bottled
up

win reported below....
The two Aarons had crowd-cheering performances in this hard fought
contest.
The score line reflects the hard task faced by Haven in bottling
up a big bulky Doncaster. As of old the high tackles came into
play, but Haven would not be intimidated. After a first half
waiting game as each side tested their opponents, Summers used
sheer power to burst through several Don defenders for the first
blood. Nanyn easily converted straight under the sticks, but
mysteriously Summers was sin binned seconds after his touch down.
Leroy Joe continues in top form and created the chance for Wes
Wilson to bring it to 10-0 at half-time.
The second fastest
winger in RL, Craig Calvert broke from cover inside Haven's half
to outrace the Dons to make it 14-0. The game then stalled for
ten minutes until Lester found a way through to supply to Carl
Rudd who touched down (18-0)
Nanyn converted this.
Doncaster got a consolation try in the last five minutes.
Man of the Match was
judged to be Carl Rudd. The
gate was a sunny 1945.
