Haven 42- 2 Barrow

On a day that was perfect for open attacking rugby Haven comfortably won this Northern trains cup game against a plucky barrow team.
After 8 minutes Barrow were awarded a frre kick following a punch in the tackle from Wesley Wilson . Darren Holt kicks the penalty .Barrow 2 - Haven 0
After 13 Minutes Whitehaven took the lead from a mistake by Barrow , Joel Penny followed up his own kick and scored a try after Barrow defender failed to kick the ball dead in-goal - Barrow 2 - Haven 4 .


On 19 minutes Joel Penny scored his 2nd try of the afternoon ,showing great agility and pace to open the Barrow defence from close in Barrow 2 - Haven 8

barrow made a number of mistakes and from Dropped ball in tehir own 20 Haven gathered and moved the ball wide for Steven Wood scores for Haven on the right hand side.

Haven put the game quickly out of barrows reach early in the second half with Carl Sice scoring for Haven 4 minutes after the restart. Nanyn converted Barrow 2 - Haven 24

Then Gary Broadbent scored the best try for Haven some good passing from Lester put McDermoot in the clear and with a posse of Haven players in support it was Broadbent taking the final pass to score . Nanyn converted and makes the score 2-30 then Sice scores his 2nd of the afternoon - Nanyn again adding the extras

Then Gary Broadbent finished the scoring with his 2nd try of the afternoon 26 minutes into the 2nd half Mick Nanyn converted making the final score: Barrow 2 - Haven 42

Man of the match - Dave Fatialofa to whom Barrow had no answer closely followed by The returning Craig Chambers who broke tackles all afternoon .Attendance 877
