The crowd (gate of 1648) were perhaps understandably baying for Mr Morris's blood at the interval after Nanyn was denied a clear try scored after he had a tap on the ankle and then ran on over the Blue Sox try line. Overall Haven never let the visitors, including a very subdued Jon Roper, see any daylight.

After an initial ten minutes of stalemate it was the ever reliable Seedsy who sprinted home to put points on board. Nanyn converted this but later let slip extra points. Jamie Marshal leaned over to grab a second important touchdown. Halifax were given a penalty which they scored to see it 10-4 at half-time.

In the second period the Laal Aussie dynamo of Sam Obst scored a try from initial play by Man of Match Lester. This was converted. Sice came on for a spell that tok the pace up a notch as Craig Walsh scored. Soon after a Halifax, despite the hard-to-stop Cumbrian Davidson, flagged and Lester drove over making it 26-4 after the conversion.Nanyn then scored a high speed drive in the right corner and Walsh made it a pair just before the happy hooter.
