The home side led for most of the match but struggled to shake off the Rams, who did keep a valuable bonus point. Haven tries from Graeme Mattinson, Calvert , Gregg McNally and Spence Miller.. Finn and Ryan Smith scored for the Rams.

Whitehaven fantastic 32-14 victory over Sheffield
July 13 2008 at the Don Valley Stadium.
Tries from Scott McAvoy and Ade Adebisi. Both were converted by Carl Rudd who also added two penalties to leave the half time score at 16-8 to Haven.
Spencer Miller crossed the try line early on in the second half which was again converted by Rudd. Sheffield applied plenty of pressure and eventually got one back in the corner through Damien Reid.

A Graeme Mattinson try late on in the game secured the points for Haven. Manihera converted and then slotted over a penalty to leave the full time score at 32-14 to Haven.
