Tivoli Guest House
A warm and friendly relaxed atmosphere welcomes you at Tivoli, courtesy of Andy and Maureen. Tivoli guest house is a grade two listed building situated at the corner of Queen Street and Cross Street. It was originally built circa 1800 and retains much of its Georgian/Regency style, fixtures and fittings. These include the window shutters, high ceilings and moulded cornices. The house also boasts an elegant spiral staircase, climbing two stories finished with a domed ceiling and glass dome roof. Whitehaven is the earliest example
of post medieval planned town, some of which was designed by
Sir Christopher Wren. Much of the Georgian influence remains
today. Markets are held on Thursday and Saturdays, a modest yet
eclectic shopping town to experience with many other things to
see and do with the Cumbrian fells only 30 minutes away, Whitehaven
is an ideal place for either short break or longer stay. Our current rates are £25
- to £30.00 per person for single and twin rooms and £55
to £60 for the double en -suite room. We are situated conveniently
in the town centre, being five minutes from the start of the
C2C route and we offer safe storage of cycles. |
