Whitehaven Maritime Fest on hold till 2010

This year's 2007 Festival featured the Red Arrows, Tall sailing ships and much much more! Even the Beatles, or should we say renown cover band the Backbeat Beatles.
Festival dates June 15, 16 and 17. 2007. But organisers have warned future events hang in the balance...no plans until a possible smaller event in 2010.

Circus comes to Town

Copeland Homes’ 5th annual fun day. On Saturday 7th June 2008, will be bringing the circus to CASTLE park. The Festival Circus brings the magic of the circus alive, with five hours of circus entertainment inside a real circus Big Top.

The ancient rock legends have been booked to perform live as the headline act at a spectacular open-air concert at Whitehaven RL Recreation ground this summer. Up to 10,000 fans are expected to flock to the area’s biggest-ever music event. The world’s biggest-selling band is being brought to Whitehaven by the Whitehaven Maritime Festival committee to celebrate an important milestone in the town’s history – the 300th anniversary of the Royal Act for Whitehaven Harbour.
Venue: The Recreation Ground, home of Whitehaven RLFC. Date: Saturday August 2. Tickets: £30 apiece.http://www.ticketline.co.uk/
