Hull KR v Haven
By Dave Farrell
Date: 19/2/2001

Haven's recent run of form continued with a well earned point at Craven Park ,though in truth they had enough of the play and created enough chances to take both points.
Fielding the same team as at Gateshead , haven had the better of the first half and took the lead through a Spencer Miller Try that was the result of some good support play and slick handling .Steve Kirkbride added the goal and we were 6-nil up . Further chances were created and should have been taken but a combination of the heavy pitch and some risky passsing saw the chances go begging. The home side got on the score sheet with a try from debut boy , but with Steve kirkbride adding another penalty haven were well worth their 8-4 interval lead.
In the second period defences were very much on top , and when Steve Kirkbride added another penalty it looked like that could seal it for the Haven. A late flourish from the robins saw Charles grab a converted try to make the scores ten all which is how it ended.
A point won or a point lost ? You decide ; either way we go into the Saints Clash in much better form than we could expect a month ago . Only one casualty in Wesley Wilson who twisted his ankle that apart everyone else is fit and looking forward to the Big One next week.
